Slimming World Lunch & Dinner Recipes

Here are a few Healthy Lunch & Dinner Recipes which have been adapted from my recipes on my site Kerala Recipes. These recipes are suitable for people following Slimming World Diet. Slimming World diet focuses on low sugar, low/no fat and no oil. Even if you are not following Slimming World Diet, you can try these recipes if you are on any Low Fat Diet which doesn’t have carb restrictions. Most of these recipes are from Indian Cuisine.

  • Healthy Extra A – HEa
  • Healthy Extra B – HEb
  • Extra Easy – EE
  • Green Day – 2 HEa and 2 HEb
  • Original/ Red Day – 2 HEa and 2 HEb
  • Extra Easy – 1 HEa and 1 HEb

Changes

  • Whenever possible, use Cooking Spray/Fry Light instead of oil for sauteing and stir frying.
  • If you prefer, you can still use Oil for a better taste, but in limited quantities and you need to Syn it. 1 tsp Oil = 2 Syns. On Extra Easy day, 1 tbsp of Extra Virgin Oil is HEb. Some dishes like Biriyani taste good when little oil/butter is used and most of the recipes below make 2-4 servings.

Recipes

  1. Vegetable Fried Rice – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. You need to Syn the Chilli Sauce (0.5 Syn/tbsp) or you can use Paprika powder instead to make it Syn free. Green – Free (Replace Chilly Sauce with Paprika powder), EE – Free (Replace Chilly Sauce with Paprika powder)
  2. Egg Fried Rice – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. You need to Syn the Chilli Sauce (0.5 Syn/tbsp) or you can use Paprika powder instead to make it Syn free. Green – Free (Replace Chilly Sauce with Paprika powder), EE – Free (Replace Chilly Sauce with Paprika powder)
  3. Egg Biriyani – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Green – Free, EE – Free
  4. Spinach Rice – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Green – Free, EE – Free
  5. Fish Biryani – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. You may replace Tilapia with Cod, Haddock or any other Fish. Replace Coconut Milk with Non Fat Yogurt or you can use Light/Reduced Fat Coconut Milk and Syn it. Green – Free (Use Fish as HEb, Use Non Fat Yogurt instead of Coconut Milk), EE – Free (Use Non Fat Yogurt instead of Coconut Milk)
  6. Curd Rice (Seasoned Rice with Yogurt) – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Use Plain Non Fat Yogurt. Green – Free, EE – Free
  7. Tomato Rice – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Green – Free, EE – Free
  8. Cracked Wheat Pulav (Dalia Pulav) – Use cooking spray instead of oil. Use Chicken/Vegetable Stock instead of Chicken Broth to make it Syn free. Green – Free, EE – Free
  9. Broken Wheat and Chicken Pulav – Use cooking spray instead of oil. Green – Free (Use Chicken as HEb), EE – Free
  10. Tuna Pasta Salad – Substitute Regular Mayo with Extra Light Mayo (0.5 Syn/tbsp) and Syn it. Syn the Pickled Relish (1 Syn/tbsp). Green – Use Canned Tuna(113g) as HEb. Skip the Nuts or measure it out as HEb, EE – Skip the Nuts or Syn it.
  11. Vegetable Spaghetti – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Use Red Chilly Flakes instead of Chilly Garlic Sauce. Green – Free, EE – Free
  12. Vegetable Noodles – Use Cooking Spray instead of Oil. Use Red Chilly Powder instead of Chilly Garlic Sauce. Green – Free, EE – Free
